The 13th Cross (2020)
A man with a troubled past seeks to atone for his sins by acting as a hitman for a religious organization by killing those who have committed the unforgivable sin of harming innocents.

I felt that if I didn’t make a movie right after film school with the friends and resources I had, it might never happen. So, I wrote a script, crowdfunded a couple of grand, begged and borrowed from everyone I could, and The 13th Cross was the result. Shot in 15 days, edited over the course of a year, and released with little fanfare in 2021 (during Covid), the outcome is, sure, a cheap-looking, flawed, and amateurish little movie. But, I learned so much from it, and I’m incredibly grateful for the help I received in making it. Considering it was a $9000 movie, it’s not too bad. It even got picked up for distribution by Mill Creek, which is more than most no-budget first films can claim.
