Chicken Coop (2023)
Chicken Coop is a heartwarming family comedy/drama taking place on the day before Christmas Eve. A young lawyer and his wife are heading to the countryside to help his estranged father do some projects around the house as an opportunity to patch things up.

Not long after finishing film school and making my first low-budget feature film, I moved to Los Angeles to try my luck in the film industry. As an unconnected writer/director with no crew experience, I ended up living paycheck to paycheck, working a low-wage job at a deli. As my debts kept piling up and opportunities slipped away, I faced a tough decision: give up and go home, or embrace a kind of homelessness by living in my car to try and turn things around.
Unfortunately, just two months into my car-living experiment, my vehicle broke down. I had no choice but to swallow my pride, move back in with my parents, and accept defeat.
A week later, the pandemic hit, and it seemed like my decision to return home was a lucky escape. Over the next few months, I helped my father install plumbing in the yard and finally had the time to do some writing.
“Chicken Coop” was born out of this period of rediscovery—a story that draws inspiration from my short stint working for a lawyer in LA, my return home to my family, and the contrasting lives my parents and I led.
